Procedure:
First, wash your hands thoroughly to remove any dirt from the lenses.
Then rinse your glasses under lukewarm water to loosen dust particles and make the next step easier.
Put a small amount of mild dish soap on your fingertip and gently rub it over the lenses, frame, and temples. Do not use regular soap, as it may contain harsh chemicals that can damage the lenses.
Rinse the lenses thoroughly with lukewarm water to remove all traces of dish soap. Then, dry the lenses and frame with a microfiber cloth using gentle movements. The microfiber cloth absorbs moisture and prevents scratches.
Using the same cloth, gently polish the lenses until they are completely dry and shiny to remove any remaining marks, scratches, or smudges.
Additional tips:
Avoid excessive heat, such as from a hairdryer or open flame, as this can damage the lens coating and worsen scratches.
For deep scratches, or if none of the above methods help, you should take your glasses to an optician for repair or lens replacement.
